Below we have given an example of 3 nights itinerary for you to follow or get ideas!

Day One:
DOTHRAKI SEA/SHILLANAVOGHY VALLEY

DOTHRAKI SEA/SHILLANAVOGHY VALLEY

14 minutes travel time

Pick up your Glamper from our depot and head straight to Slemish Mountain, which is right on our doorstep.  Also known as Shillanavoghy Valley.  This location was in Season 1 when Daenerys and Khal Drogo made camp in the grassed plains of the Dothraki Sea.

Not only is it famous for the Game of Thrones®. Slemish Mountain is known as the legendary first known Irish home of Saint Patrick. According to legend, after being captured he was brought to Ireland as a Slave. Patrick then worked as a Shepherd for about 6 years. Slemish raises approximately 1500 feet above the surrounding area and is the central core of an extinct volcano.  Get your hiking boots on; once you are at the top, the views are breathtaking.

GLENS OF ANTRIM

27 minutes travel time

Pick up your Glamper from our depot and head to the Glens of Antrim.  First stop in the Glens is Glenariffe were you can visit the hidden village of Galboly.

This is where Lord Yohn Royce takes Robyn Arryn, the Lord of the Eyrie, in order to raise him as his Ward and where Sansa Stark and Littlefinger watch his attempts at duelling.

 

STORMLANDS

26 minutes travel time

Next stop: Cushendun Caves/Stormlands

Here, Melisandre gives birth to the Shadow Assassin, much to the amazement of Davos Seaworth. This is also where Melisandre summons her shadowy demon beneath Renly’s Camp, in order to murder Stannis’ brother in the name of the Lord of Light.

4 minutes travel time

Hop back in your luxury Glamper and head for an Overnight stay at Cushendun Caravan Park  

Once you get to your pitch and get set up, why not pop along to Mary McBrides for a tasty traditional dinner! Only 10 minutes from the campsite.

DAY 2

SLAVERS BAY

25 minutes travel time

Day 2 of our Game of Thrones® itinerary, starts with a visit to the beautiful Murlough Bay.  Known as Slavers Bay, this stunning piece of coast is where Tyrion Lannister and Jorah Marmont ran afoul of Slavers on their way to Meereen.  From here you can see across to Rathlin Island and on a clear day, you could be lucky enough to see Scotland.

Close by you can also visit Fairhead, which is known as our tallest cliff face.  This is where Jon Snow finally met Daenerys and her dragons at Dragonstone. 

PYKE

30 minutes travel time

Next drive to Ballintoy Harbour.  Better known in the show as Pyke, home to infamous Ironborn.  This is where Theon Greyjoy arrives in the Capital of Lordsport after his many years ay as Ned Stark’s Vassal.  Ballintoy beach is where Euron Greyjoy is drowned to become King of the Iron Islands.

You can also visit the Carrick – a –Rede rope bridge.  Top fans may spot nearby Larrybane.  This beautiful spot featured on Season 2 when Catelyn Stark first met Renly Baratheon, who vowed to avenge her husband’s death.

KINGS ROAD

20 minutes travel time

This will take you down the road to the Dark Hedges known as  “Kings Road”

Arya Stark was escaping from the Lannisters after they killed her Father.  She manages to flee in the back of a cart travelling down the Kingsroad, heading toward the Night Watch and the Wall.

At the end of the road, you will find GraceHill House, call in for dinner and a drink.

There you will find one of the Game of Thrones® Doors, commemorating Brans transformation into the Three-Eyed Raven.

At the end of a busy day, park up at Juniper Hill Caravan Park, Portstewart

Day 3

DORNISH COASTLINE

25 minutes travel time

From Juniper Hill head to Portstewart Strand.  Here Jamie and Bronn found themselves captured by the Dornish soldiers on the coast of Sunspear, and where Ellaria and the Sand Snakes conspired to start a war with the Lannisters.

Before you set off again call into Harry’s Shack for a delicious lunch.

DRAGONSTONE
10 minutes travel time

After lunch takes the road to Downhill beach, which is overlooked by Mussenden Temple. The dark side to this beautiful beach is where Stannis Baratheon rejects the Seven Old Gods of Westoros.  He is proclaimed as the champion of the Lord of Light by Melisandre and enters Dragonstone into the war of the Five Kings.

DOTHRAKI
28 minutes travel time

Your next stop is Binevenagh.  This is where Daenery’s and her Dragon find refuge in the Dothraki Grasslands after they flee the fighting pits of Meereen. 

Walk the trail and see views that stretch for miles.  On good clear days, you can see the West Coast of Scotland.

HOUSE OF GREYJOY
40 minutes travel time

The last stop is Dunluce Castle, known as Pyke Castle This is where the House of Grey Joy reside. Their Lord is known as the Lord Reaper of Pyke.  In the final battle of the Greyjoy Rebellion, the Iron Throne, led by King Robert Baratheon and Lord Eddard Stark, besieged Pyke.  This is where Maron Greyjoy, the second son of King Balon Greyjoy, came to his death.

In real life, Dunluce Castle was home to the 2nd Earl of Antrim. Legend states that in 1639 the family were waiting for dinner one evening and the kitchen, along with the kitchen staff, fell into the sea.  The Castle was occupied until 1690 following the Battle of the Boyne.

Drive to Skerries Holiday Park and park up and enjoy your last night in your Glamper. 

Day 4

Back to Base Camp

44 minutes travel time

Head back towards base for 10am or travel on for more exciting adventures in your Glamper!

Hopefully, wherever you travel in your Glamper Motorhome you will have an amazing adventure and enjoy your Motorhome.
